Maurice Ampaw insults Ghanaians because of TV license
Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has stated clearly that “It will be ‘unwise’ for anyone to refuse to pay looking at the cost involved when you are charged with defying the law."
“You can’t argue in the law court that, GTV has not been offering you what you like so there is no reason to pay TV license. Therefore instead of paying a small amount why do you prefer to pay more when being sent to court?”, he added.
Lawyer Maurice Ampaw made this known during his radio interview with Silver FM in Kumasi ,where he also urged Ghanaians to pay the levy irrespective of how people's perception of GTV’s content.
Eleven special courts have been set up by the AG in the various regions to ensure culprits are charged and fined for defying orders to pay TV license.
After the message went viral with the government, Kwame Asare Obeng also known as A-Plus ignited a public debate stating, he will never pay TV license and is therefore ready to face the law to defend his decision.
